The Daily Grail has an item about Nick Redfern's article in the third volume of Darklore: "Body Snatchers: Before and Beyond" and an interview. Redfern is the author of the book Body Snatchers in the Desert, which puts forth a theory equally strange as any ideas about ET, though, if true, certainly more insidious.

After posting references and noting specific things, (from Bennett, etc.) Damn Data concludes:
So to dismiss him [Adamski] out of hand for simple fakery is missing the big story.

It's the "big story" surrounding contactees that is often ignored or missed; it just isn't so simple to say Adamski and other contactees were kooks or frauds. The circus element certainly was ever present in these events; but that's not all there was to the phenomena.

Peter Farley, on UFO Digest, writes about Roswell in his article Stopping the Hybrid Critters - Some possible reasons behind the mystery of Roswell. Farley channels something, or one, called Guidance, (link provided in article) who has news to share about hybrid beings in the Roswell area. Among other things, there's a "bubble" or portal in Roswell.

Many sensitive people I know have actually stated to me something along the lines of 'there's an energetic bubble' covering Roswell since way back when. Over the course of 25 years or more of my involvement with the two I too ahve always noticed this seeming energetic doorway or barrier one passes through about 40 miles out from Roswell in almost every direction.

This may sound far fetched, but there are numerous areas not only in the U.S. ( many of which seem to be in the West and Southwest) but the world over, that seem to be gateways between other worlds, dimensions, etc. How else to explain, for example, the extreme high strangeness of places such as the ranch in Utah, site of the Hunt for the Skinwalker, or the Redgate, Montana sightings of UFOs and aliens, or the very strange events in Colorado, going back hundreds of years, that invovle cattle mutilations and other UADS (unexplained animal deaths), UFO sightings, and so much more?

Back to the Desert (Part I?)

Just some thoughts on deserts as settings for unusual experiences . . . I don't know if there'll be a Part II yet . . .

In the discussions about mystical and UFO experiences in the desert; from the Contactees to Don Juan, for example, a natural question came from that: why deserts?

What is it about the desert that makes it such a perfect stage for these kinds of experiences? One obvious answer is the openness and the isolation; a large open area for these events to take place, these beings to appear, these interactions between us and "it" to unfold, without being seen. Unless you happen to be one of the ones lucky (or unlucky) to experience these things. The desert: wide open, empty, lonely. Perfect.

The desert, the world over, has been the stage for these other worldly events. Meetings with Jinns with Space Brothers and Sisters, with Mary, with deities and entities.

If you like the psy-op scenario: government military behind these outer space episodes, for example, the desert is the perfect setting for the reasons stated above. It's also convenient; bases are either in the desert, or close enough to to take a jaunt and set up Alien Abduction Shop.

It's possible these wide open areas, remote and fairly unbothered, act as portals.

A friend of mine and I were talking briefly about this topic the other day, and she said to "think about the sand." What is the sand made of? Silica. Crystals. Quartz. What are crystals? Transmitters. They hold and impart. It's not a coincidence humans have been using quartz crystals in not only technological ways but mystical ways as well. (As those who know, know, using crystals can be very powerful in meditation . . .)

Very interesting.

In that light, we can think of the desert stage as the perfect place for these encounters for all the reasons listed, including the huge power source right under the experiencer's feet.

All these things combined make for the perfect place for mystical occurrences.
